There is no on site car park for attendees but there is parking 3 minutes walk away at
Fitzharrys School, Northcourt Road, Abingdon, Oxon, OX14 1NP. This Car park will be open from 9am to 5.30pm and cost £5 for the day. There will be signs to show you the way to the event from here. If this car park is full there is addional parking in the town center which is just a 10-15 minute walk away.
By Car – When you come off the a34, follow signs for the College for parking at Fitzharrys next door to the venue. Park and walk 3 minutes or Park at the nearest public car park and walk to the venue (10-20 minutes walk).
Public transport – The closest train stations are Oxford or Didcot Parkway; from there you will need to get a bus to the venue. There is a bus stop right outside the venue.
Walk – If you live in Abingdon, you may find it easier to walk or cycle.
Yes, there is wheelchair access across the entire venue.
Yes, WiFi will be available on the day – please ask at the Information Point for access codes.
If you can supply proof of your media outlet and let us know the type of press you will be doing on the day, we can issue you a Press Pass which gives you free entry to the event and some interview access.

Yes, we will provide a cloakroom facility.
Some stalls do take debit/credit cards but not all of them. We do recommend you bring cash with you.

We advise that you do due to the possibility of tickets selling out early, but if we do not sell out then tickets will also be available on the day to purchase on the door. We'll be sure to provide continual ticket availability updates.
Your tickets will be sent to you via email 7-14 days before the event. You can either print them out or just show us the barcode on your phone/tablet when you enter.
Some shows or panels come under the cost of the ticket, but for others there will be an additional charge. It will state this under the description in the "What’s On" page on the website, once panels and shows have been announced.
No – all tickets are non-refundable, but they are transferable.
This is a bundle consisting of x2 Adult tickets and x2 Young Person's tickets at a discounted price.
Guests will be announced as soon as we have confirmation of their attendance. Guests can be announced at any point up to a week before the event.
We will add guests to the What’s On page on the website as soon as they are announced.
You can get in touch with us through social media or via email firstname.lastname@example.org with your guest suggestions. We will explore every suggestion and try our best to get a good variety of guests. Sadly we can never guarantee an appearance.
No problem, this happens all the time and we are here to help you out! Just tell one of the friendly Thames Con staff and they will be your chaperone.
Of course! Guests love to see different things people bring to sign. You will be charged per autograph.
All guests will have printed photos or a piece of artwork for you to get signed that will be included in the price of the autograph.
Autograph prices vary according to each guest. Please see the flyer at the bottom of this page or on our guests page.
This is entirely up to the guest on the day. Some guests will be charging for selfies and some will allow you to have one if you purchase an autograph. Either way, just remember to always ask politely!
Cosplay is the practice of dressing up as a character from a film, book, TV series or video game. If you haven’t tried it then give it a go! It’s really good fun and your costume doesn’t have to be perfect, we appreciate any effort you make.
Please do! We have a huge number of attendees who cosplay.

You do not have to attend in cosplay, your geekiest t-shirt or your most comfortable shoes are also very welcome.
Yes, there is space available over at the cosplay desk to leave suitcases.
The cosplay desk can offer assistance for repairs.
Yes, there are changing room facilities available.
You may be filmed or photographed, especially if you are wearing an amazing costume! We will have our own company photographers taking pictures throughout the day which will be available on our Facebook page and also local press may be filming and taking photographs. By purchasing a ticket, you give automatic permission for you to be photographed or filmed.
Yes. Please do ask permission first from anyone you would like to video or photograph and respect their wishes if they decline.
We are looking for volunteers for a number of tasks from Friday through to Sunday morning! If you would like to help out on the day then please email us at email@example.com. If you are a Media student or young person needing work experience for your CV we will happily provide a reference for your day’s work with us. Please put the subject of the email as "VOLUNTEER".
There are a number of quality and affordable local hotels in the nearby area. Abingdon is a beautiful and picturesque town on the River Thames so why not book an extra night in a hotel and have a little break!
